Technology Module: Wiki (Interpretive)

This wiki activity is centered around the traditional dance known as the Debke which is performed in mainly the Levant areas (Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and in some areas of Iraq). The activity was created for my level three Arabic classes, who already have grasp of all three verb tenses, and a knowledge of basic everyday vocabulary.
Learning Objectives:
1. Students will be able to identify the traditional clothes worn in the traditional Debke dance.
2. Students will be able to identify the countries of the Levant (sham).
3. Students will be able to retell basic history of the Debke based off their readings.
4. Students will be able to determine cultural heritage based on dress and written clues in pictures and videos.5. Students will be able to look up and share about other information related to Debke.
6. Students will be able to compare and contrast traditional performance Debke with casual everyday dancing.
7. Students will be able to share basic components of Debke and who performs Debke.
