Module Two: Fotobabble Assignment (Presentational with some Interpretive)
This activity is intended for my level one Arabic classes. After being introduced to clothing vocabulary and weather vocabulary, students are expected to complete the following assignment to apply the vocabulary to describe what they are wearing and explain why they are wearing it based on weather and location.

Objectives:
1. Students will be able to describe what they are wearing in a particular photo.
2. Students will be able to explain why they wear certain clothes during a particular season and location.
3. Students will be able to create upload images and record sound using the online tool Fotobabble. Then embed their Fotobabble onto a wiki.
4. Students will be able to make comparisons regarding appropriate dress between their own culture, and the various diverse culture in the Arabic speaking world (liberal vs. conservative and hot vs. cold climates)
Activity:
1. Research appropriate dress for Morocoo, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon. All three countries are part of the Arab world, but each follows a different standard for what is appropriate. Remember, many societies put emphasis on traditional clothes, while embarrassing modern fashions. Be sure to research this well! Here are some links to get you started:

2. You are to create an account on Fotobabble using your school username and password.

(If you choose to you a different password, remember you are responsible for recording it in a safe place. Otherwise, you will have to create a new account and the assignment will be considered late if turned in past the due date).
3. You then need to upload an image of you wearing at least five different articles of clothing.
Requirements:
4. Record you descriptions on Fotobabble.
5. Save when you have decided the recording meets the requirements. Title your finished product using this format: Name-What I am wearing-School. Example: Ustatha-What I am Wearing- West/South
6. Upload the Fotobabble to the class wiki here.
7. When you have loaded your Fotobabble, make one comment (provide description of what they said in the Fotobabble) regarding their clothes, weather, or location in Arabic below at least 5 Fotobabbles your peers uploaded (remember to include your name). Click here to access an Arabic keyboard.

- Compare how these clothes would fit in depending on the following locations in the Arab world: Morocco, Saudi Arabia, on a beach Lebanon. Tell me why they do or do not fit in. What should you be wearing instead?
