Objectives
1. Students will able to identify popular artists in the Arab world.
2. Students will share and defend their opinions related to music styles.
3. Students will to read through and understand lyrics in an Arabic song using context clues, Wordreference, video clues, and with assistance from Ustatha.
4. Students will be able to interpret lyrics from songs and summarize the main meaning in their own words.
*Please keep in mind this exploration exercise is meant for advanced students of Arabic. In my district, levels 5 and 6 will complete the exercise throughout the course of 3 days in the computer lab.

understanding poetry since poetry is the foundation for Arabic music.
